‘Mat kar bhai’: Picture of ‘reverse vada pav’ confuses Mumbaikars, labelled a monstrosity

The web is house to many fusion meals creations. Whereas some win hearts, others anger folks and infrequently result in extra confusion than fusion. Whether or not its chocolate dosa, ice-cream idli or chikken tikka chocolate — the web has seen all of it and such creations have left many asking why?

One such creation which reimagines a Mumbai staple differently has now been shared on-line and customers will not be impressed. A Mumbai man shared an image of a ‘reverse vada pav’ on sale at a eatery. The image confirmed a fried potato vada inside a hollowed out brioche bun. The vada pav was priced at ₹190.

The picture obtained 1000’s of views and customers have been aggravated by the culinary creation. “Reversing all the progress our ancestors made in culinary arts,” stated one person, whereas one other commented: ‘Is that this joke or what, reverse vadapav? We’re pleased with straight mixture of vada and pav.”

After the post gained traction online, many users flooded the comments confused by the idea behind the creation. “Why is that this a factor?” said one user while another simply remarked, “What within the title of “vada pav” is that this?”

Many others called it the “most unappetising factor” they had ever seen and said, “This monstrosity has nothing associated to vada pav.”

“Mumbaikars are indignant proper now,” said one of the users, joking, “Misal Pav is scared to the bones after taking a look at this creepy creature.”

Other delved into semantic and argued that a true “reverse” vada pav would be slightly different. “Reverse vadapav ought to merely be a pav between 2 garam vadas!,” said one of them. “What’s reverse vada pav? Isko khaa ke ulti karni hoti hai?” joked another.

Many were also shocked by the high price of the food item which is known as a staple of the city, enjoyed by people from all economic backgrounds. “This appears to be like gross, why reinvent when the common stills captivates,” asked a user, while another said, “190 rupees ka… Woah. Lut loge kya ek vada pav mein? Indians are detached to such excessive, illogical, and all the time rising costs.”
