Punjab agriculture minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian has directed all chief agriculture officers (CAOs) to submit biweekly progress reviews on centrally and state-sponsored agricultural schemes to make sure efficient monitoring and analysis.

Thus far, 5,082 seed samples, 2,867 pesticide samples, and a pair of,473 fertiliser samples have been collected.
The minister mentioned that 141 seed samples failed high quality exams, whereas 81 pesticide samples had been misbranded, and 78 fertiliser samples had been sub-standard.
Authorized actions have been initiated in opposition to the accountable sellers and corporations, Khudian mentioned.
