The entire process led to indigenous trainer aircraft manufacturing project suffer tremendously. The project was almost shelved,” he stated.

The Bengaluru South MP stated that after Prime Minister Narendra Modi got here to energy in 2014, with the painstaking efforts of the then Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, HAL was given the required encouragement, monetary help and the executive encouragement to restart the manufacturing of the indigenous fundamental coach jet.

From foreign dependency to aatmanirbharta (Self reliance), from not trusting our own institutions and our own engineers to manufacturing such state of the art aircrafts that are second to none in the world,” he added.
