BJP alleges Punjab CM taking part in politics over deportees after ‘conspiracy’ declare

The BJP on Saturday hit again at Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on the problem of deportees, accusing the AAP chief of taking part in politics over the matter.

On Friday, Mann accused the Centre of attempting to defame Punjab as a part of a conspiracy by selecting the Amritsar airport for the touchdown of the plane.

Hitting again at Mann, BJP chief Tarun Chugh stated, “Bhagwant Mann sahab, people of Punjab want to know why youth from the state had to go adopting illegal means, who sent them, and who were the fraudulent agents who spoiled their lives. The youths were forced to sell their land, houses. Rather than catching the culprits and acting against those who spoiled the lives of these youths, the ‘AAP-da’ party leader is playing politics on the issue,” Chugh, who can be BJP’s normal secretary, stated.

BJP’s nationwide spokesperson RP Singh additionally took a dig at Mann, and advised him to cease politicising the problem.

“Rather than giving jobs in Punjab, the ‘AAP-da’ party has only given deteriorating law and order. Ransom has emerged as the new industry. Rather than giving employment, the industry, farming, and service sectors are moving in back gear,” Chugh stated.

Among the many 119 deportees, 100 are from Punjab and Haryana alone. Whereas 67 are from Punjab, 33 are from Haryana, eight from Gujarat, three from Uttar Pradesh, two every from Goa, Maharashtra and Rajasthan, and one every from Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

The second batch of unlawful Indian immigrants contains 4 girls and two minors, together with a six-year-old lady. A lot of the deportees are within the age group of 18 to 30 years, sources stated.
