Sukma superintendent of police (SP) Kiran Chavhan stated that an encounter broke out between safety personnel and Maoists in a forest beneath Kistaram police station space when a joint staff of safety personnel was out on an anti-naxalite operation, he stated.
The personnel belonging to the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Motion- an elite unit of CRPF) had been concerned within the operation launched on Friday primarily based on inputs of presence of Maoists within the space, he stated.
“ We have recovered two bodies of Maoists and searching is still going on,” stated the SP.
“The intermittent exchange of fire is still underway,” the official stated, including that additional particulars are awaited.
