Day after a 22-year-old welder died after falling into an acid tank at an area zinc-plating manufacturing unit, the police on Monday registered a case in opposition to manufacturing unit proprietor Gaurav Kumar on fees of inflicting loss of life because of negligence, officers mentioned.

The case registered based mostly on a grievance by the deceased’s brother Mukeem Ahmed, the officers added.

One other employee fell onto the bottom and was injured. He was rushed to an area hospital by the manufacturing unit proprietor, who allegedly left Ahmed behind.

The complainant alleged the manufacturing unit proprietor rushed the injured employee away however left Sameer behind, claiming that well timed medical intervention may have saved his brother’s life.

Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Jatinder Kumar, who’s investigating the case, mentioned the first-information report (FIR) was registered beneath part 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
