Mumbai: The town and its neighbouring districts of Thane and Raigad are set to expertise hovering temperatures, with the India Meteorological Division (IMD) issuing a ‘yellow alert’ (remember) for a heatwave till Tuesday. On Saturday, town sweltered below a yellow alert for warm and humid climate. The IMD’s Santacruz observatory recorded a most temperature of 35.8°C, over three levels above regular, whereas the Colaba observatory reported 34.5°C. Nevertheless, the evening remained comparatively cooler, with suburban areas registering 19°C within the early hours of Saturday.
