Panvel: Union minister of state Ramdas Athawale on Monday slammed Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for claiming that the Bharatiya Janata Celebration (BJP) would change the Structure if it remained in energy and appealed to the Muslim group to not dwell in concern, assuring he would stand by them if any try have been made to drive them away.

At a time when the BJP has raised its Hindutva pitch by coining slogans like “Ek hain toh safe hain” (We’re secure if we’re one) and accused the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition of appeasing Muslims, Athawale appealed to the minority group to vote for the Mahayuti, saying the alliance wasn’t in opposition to them.
