A day after Mohali police booked controversial pastor Bajinder Singh, his supporters blocked roads and the entry to the Mohali SSP workplace, demanding cancellation of an FIR towards him. The protesters additionally sought a theft case towards Ranjit Kaur, 40, of Kharar, whom they accused of monetary misconduct within the church.

Pastor Bajinder was booked days after a purported video of him assaulting a person and lady in his workplace went viral on social media, police stated.

Christian chief Surjit Singh Thapar stated, “A complaint was filed against Kaur on February 25 for alleged financial mismanagement and theft in the church. However, instead of acting on it, police booked pastor Bajinder, which he claimed is an attempt to influence the March 28 court decision in a sexual assault case.”
