In an order issued on Thursday, the Delhi Directorate of Schooling instructed faculties to organize an ‘Motion Taken Report’ on measures applied to regulate noise air pollution and submit it by March 3.

The directive from the DoE was adopted by a letter from the Central Air pollution Management Board concerning the enforcement of the Noise Air pollution Guidelines, 2002, in faculties by writing to the SHOs and making ready an ATR.

RN Jindal, Chairperson of Sovereign Faculty in Rohini, highlighted the challenges confronted as a consequence of unauthorised parking close to college premises.

“Our school is located in a residential area, and overnight parking leads to major difficulties in cleaning the surroundings in the morning,” he mentioned.

He mentioned that the congestion makes it difficult to make sure easy motion close to the college gates.

“We will write to the SHOs regarding the issue and hope their intervention helps in resolving it,” Jindal mentioned.

Shudha Acharya, Principal of ITL Worldwide Faculty in Dwarka, shared related considerations and emphasised the necessity for exterior help to control parking round faculties.

“Our school security guards try their best to manage the parking situation within the premises. However, outside the school, unauthorised vehicles are often parked, creating congestion,” she mentioned.

It turns into troublesome to find the homeowners and request them to maneuver their autos, Acharya mentioned.

“As per the instructions, we will be reaching out to SHOs, seeking their assistance in addressing the parking problems and curbing unnecessary honking near the school,” she mentioned.

The CPCB has additionally requested the training division to collaborate with city native our bodies to create consciousness about noise air pollution in faculties.

Moreover, the division has been requested to help the Division of Atmosphere in organising webinars within the college.
