Ludhiana: Two transformers fall on Kochar Highway after crane sling snaps

Whereas Punjab State Energy Company Restricted (PSPCL) officers cited the accident as an unexpected mechanical failure, native residents and shopkeepers alleged negligence on a part of the involved authorities. They claimed that overloading the crane with greater than two transformers at a time was the first reason for the accident.

Jitendra Singh, a neighborhood store proprietor, voiced his considerations, saying, “We were fortunate that no major accident occurred, but this was sheer negligence.
