Kalka police have booked the proprietor of an immigration consultancy agency and his two accomplices for duping a Kalka resident of ₹4.31 lakh after promising to assist her migrate to Canada.

Realising the fraud, the sufferer lodged a grievance with the deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Panchkula, resulting in a police investigation.(Consultant)

The complainant, Rita, 33, informed police that she approached “The Aussie Education”, positioned in Section 7, Mohali, in March 2021, for immigration to Canada.

She paid ₹4.31 lakh to the agency’s proprietor, Shiv Kumar, together with Neha Gautam and Gurinder, to course of her visa utility. Nonetheless, they neither fulfilled the deal nor returned her cash, and in addition closed the workplace.
