The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh authorities is about to launch a singular initiative — One District One Delicacies (ODOC).

Aimed toward figuring out and selling the distinctive culinary heritage of every district, the scheme seeks to combine these native delicacies into the mainstream financial system formally.

Impressed by the success of the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, which introduced international recognition to conventional crafts and merchandise from throughout the state, ODOC aspires to deliver a few related transformation within the meals sector. Iconic dishes resembling Mathura’s Peda, Varanasi’s sweets, and Agra’s Petha are thought of for industrial-scale promotion and branding.

The CM has instructed officers to compile a complete checklist of conventional dishes distinctive to every district and devise methods to assist small entrepreneurs in bringing these culinary treasures to broader markets.

In response to commissioner and director of industries, Ok Vijayendra Pandian, the ODOC initiative goals to protect native meals traditions and supply new employment avenues via commercialisation.

This initiative marks a serious step towards positioning Uttar Pradesh as a frontrunner in India’s meals business—in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s imaginative and prescient of a self-reliant India.
