The police resorted to lathicharge and lobbed teargas shells to disperse the mob after they irate crowd started pelting stones and detained 15 folks in reference to the violence. The injured police personnel had been on safety obligation in the course of the anti-encroachment drive.
Round 6 am on Wednesday, the Nashik Municipal Company (NMC) eliminated the unauthorised Satpeer Baba Dargah situated in Kathe Galli space of the town following an order of the Bombay excessive courtroom, the police stated.
“The process of filing FIRs and making arrests against those involved in the violence is underway,” Nashik Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik stated.
