Mullanpur police on Tuesday arrested a person for allegedly promoting faux tickets of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight riders held at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Worldwide Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur.

Performing swiftly, Mullanpur police arrested the accused.
In the meantime an investigator stated that the accused failed to point out any proof of being a scholar and as a substitute, labored in a gaggle.
“We will soon arrest his accomplices after interrogating him. He sold many tickets for the said match and earned around ₹15,000. He got the tickets printed and we will round up the other suspects too”, a police officer aware of the matter stated.
The accused has been booked underneath sections 318(4) (dishonest, particularly specializing in dishonestly inducing somebody to ship property), 338 (forging priceless securities), 336(3) (forgery) and 340 (the usage of cast paperwork or digital data) of BNS at Mullanpur police station.
