Union residence minister pays tribute to Pahalgam terror victims, meets bereaved households in Srinagar, assures them terrorists received’t be spared.
Union residence minister Amit Shah on Wednesday visited the distant Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam to take inventory of the safety scenario after 26 civilians, most of them vacationers, have been killed in a terror assault and guaranteed the households and the nation that the perpetrators wouldn’t be spared.

Shah landed in Baisaran in a chopper because the meadow is inaccessible owing to lack of a motorable street and is 5km from Pahalgam city.
The house minister reviewed the scenario as he sought to know from the safety businesses how the fear assault unfolded on Tuesday afternoon.
Accompanied by Jammu and Kashmir lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha and chief minister Omar Abdullah, Shah met the victims admitted to the Authorities Medical School and Hospital in Anantnag in south Kashmir. The leaders directed the well being authorities to offer the very best care to the injured.

He met the bereaved households, together with kids, who have been inconsolable. As they expressed their anguish whereas grappling with the insufferable lack of their family members, the house minister assured them that the culprits received’t be spared.
“Every Indian feels the pain of losing their loved ones in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. This sorrow cannot be expressed in words. I assure all these families and the entire nation that these terrorists who killed innocent people will not be spared at all,” he wrote on X.
