HPTDC chairman RS Bali stated {that a} memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this impact was signed between HPTDC and Meals Provides Company on Saturday.
Bali whereas interacting with media stated that below this settlement, HPTDC would procure items value ₹20 to 25 crore yearly by the Meals and Provides Company.
“At present HPTDC makes annual market purchases worth around ₹30 to 40 crore. As per the new arrangement, the Food and Supplies Corporation would supply A-grade material to HPTDC hotels, including ration, groceries and other essential items. HPTDC would make payments to the Corporation within a period of one and a half months”, stated Bali.
Addressing a press convention in Shimla, Bali stated that this settlement would profit HPTDC by guaranteeing the provision of high quality provides at decrease charges as in comparison with the open market. “Quality parameters have been mutually agreed upon and shared with the corporation to ensure the highest standards,” stated Bali.
Speaking of the income, Bali, stated, “HPTDC has achieved the highest-ever profit in the last two and a half years. The annual turnover of the Corporation has risen from ₹78 crore to ₹107 crore, crossing the ₹100-crore mark for the first time in its history, despite the challenges posed by natural disasters”.
He stated that over the last Board of Director’s assembly in 2022, it was determined to offer gratuity to staff below the revised pay scales of 2016. A complete of Rs. 41 crore has been disbursed to staff, compared to Rs. 26 crore distributed in the course of the five-year tenure of the earlier authorities.
He stated that there was a necessity for renovation and upkeep of HPTDC lodges within the state and discussions have been held with the federal government on this regard. He stated that now we have requested for the grant of ₹300 crore from the Asian Growth Financial institution (ADB), which might be spent on the renovation of HPTDC lodges.
