A workforce from Japan Worldwide Cooperation Company (JICA) India, at the moment in Himachal Pradesh for a mid-term assessment of the forestry mission.

Chatting with the media, JICA India chief of improvement operations Vineet Sareen mentioned that the mission started in 2018 and is slated to proceed till 2028. “After reviewing the work done so far, the team will outline the next phase of the project,” mentioned Sareen.

Sareen famous that the mission is at the moment supporting 460 village forest improvement societies and 920 self-help teams throughout Himachal Pradesh. He counseled the progress being made in livelihood enchancment, girls empowerment, and forest ecosystem administration.

JICA assisted “Project for Improvement of Himachal Pradesh Forest Ecosystems Management and Livelihoods” is being applied in six districts of Kinnaur, Shimla, Bilaspur, Mandi, Kullu and Lahaul and Spiti.
