Sharma was on the centre of an argument after she was booked by the Delhi Police in reference to the suicide of her driver, who had written to the schooling ministry accusing her of harassment and caste discrimination.

Earlier this month, the Gujarat authorities cancelled Sharma’s appointment because the vice-chancellor of the Indian Institute of Instructor Training (IITE). She was appointed to the put up on September 5 however was but to take cost.
