Pune: Walmik Karad, a suspect in an extortion case linked to the homicide of Santosh Deshmukh, surrendered to the Legal Investigation Division (CID) in Pune at roughly 12 midday on Tuesday, officers confirmed.

Karad is considered one of 4 people charged within the extortion case, which was filed following the homicide of Deshmukh in Massajog, Beed district.
