In a surprising incident, a bunch of males eating on the terrace of The Willow Café within the bustling Sector 10 market opened fireplace within the air, inflicting alarm amongst workers and clients.

Based on the written grievance filed by Balbir Ram, the top chef on the cafe and a resident of Badal Colony, Zirakpur, the incident unfolded between 5 pm and 5.40 pm.
Balbir, who has been working on the institution since 2004, reported that 4 males arrived on the cafe round 5 pm and took a desk on the terrace. They ordered meals and drinks. A short time later, two extra males joined them, accompanied by a safety guard who remained standing outdoors the terrace gate.
Whereas the group dined, Balbir all of the sudden heard a loud sound, resembling a firecracker, round 5.35 pm. He rushed to the terrace from the kitchen and noticed the safety guard standing close to the desk, whereas the six males seemed to be unfazed.
The guard appeared to have picked up one thing from the ground. At that second, the chef couldn’t discern what had occurred and returned to his duties.
The subsequent day, on Monday, Balbir reviewed the CCTV footage of the terrace and found the surprising fact. One of many six males, seated close to the terrace door and sporting a black hoodie with white star patterns and glasses, had pulled out a pistol from his pocket and fired a shot into the air.
The CCTV footage was handed over to the police together with the written grievance.
After receiving Balbir’s grievance and reviewing the CCTV footage, Chandigarh Police lodged an FIR on the Sector 3 police station. The case has been registered underneath Sections 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act, together with Sections 125 and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Sub-inspector Lakhwinder Singh, the investigating officer, said in FIR that the grievance was obtained throughout a patrol close to the Sector 10 taxi stand. Balbir personally approached the officer to report the incident, following which a proper grievance was filed. SI Lakhwinder, accompanied by constable Jaipal, visited the scene to assemble proof and provoke investigation.
The top chef assured the police that he may establish the culprits in the event that they have been offered earlier than him. Police are analysing the CCTV footage for results in hint the six males concerned within the incident.
