The Central Board of Secondary Schooling, CBSE, has withdrawn affiliation from 21 colleges owing to important numbers of non-attending college students from courses IX-XII.
CBSE has withdrawn affiliation of 21 ‘dummy’ colleges and downgrades 6 others from senior secondary to secondary degree.

The inspections have been carried out to determine that the colleges have been working in compliance with the norms of standard attendance of scholars in colleges as per Affiliation and Examination Bye-Legal guidelines of the Board, the CBSE said.
Asserting that the dummy or non-attending colleges undermine instructional integrity, the CBSE issued present trigger notices, permitting colleges 30 days to reply.
“The vital observations of the Surprise Inspection Committees in regard of the irregularities observed during the inspections were communicated as a report to the respective schools. The replies submitted by the schools were examined in detail by the Board,” the board stated within the discover.
