The Gurugram Metropolitan Growth Authority (GMDA) will search approval for a slew of infrastructure initiatives value almost ₹3,000 crore throughout its upcoming authority assembly, scheduled for Wednesday and chaired by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, officers mentioned on Monday.

As per officers, the authority will search approval for building of six underpasses, together with one at Bakhtawar Chowk, alongside the upcoming metro alignment at an estimated value of ₹350 crore. These can be constructed by Gurugram Metro Rail Restricted (GMRL) and funded by GMDA.
For drainage infrastructure, GMDA plans to assemble Grasp Storm Water Drain Leg-I from Outdated Delhi Highway to Rezangla Chowk at a price of ₹45 crore and Leg-II from Ashok Vihar to railway culvert quantity 50 at a price of ₹25 crore.

Moreover, ₹134 crore has been proposed for desilting of sewer strains, a step officers say is essential for stopping waterlogging throughout monsoon. “Apart from desilting, the authority will also rehabilitate and strengthen the pipelines to prevent caving in,” the official mentioned.
The GMDA can even search approval for the development of three culverts beneath the Delhi-Rewari railway line to facilitate utility service crossings, together with water and sewage pipelines in sectors alongside the Dwarka Expressway.
Land switch for bus depot, give attention to New Gurugram
To facilitate the development of a bus depot in Sector 103, the GMDA is searching for approval for the switch of seven.251 acres of land from the Municipal Company of Gurugram (MCG) at a price of ₹41.89 crore.
A senior official mentioned a number of ongoing highway initiatives, particularly in New Gurugram, are nearing completion. “By the end of June, commuters will be satisfied with the improved quality of roads. We are committed to expanding urban infrastructure further in the years to come,” the official mentioned.
The agenda for the Wednesday assembly was finalised after over 10 days of inside conferences chaired by GMDA CEO Shyamal Misra, throughout which feasibility, timelines, and useful resource allocation had been mentioned. “It was directed that only projects that are feasible and impactful should be brought for approval. The emphasis is also on timely completion of ongoing works,” the official added.
