Senior officials of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reviewed the preparations being made by the Ministry for wide publicity in the Maha Kumbh to be held in Prayagraj in 2025 and gave necessary guidelines.
Somdutt Tripathi, JUNCTION TIMES, Prayagraj: A high-level team of senior officials of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting was in Prayagraj on a two-day visit on 4 and 5 December to take stock of the preparations for the upcoming Maha Kumbh-2025 in Prayagraj. It included many officials of the ministry including Prasar Bharati Chief Executive Officer Gaurav Dwivedi, Principal Director General of Press Information Bureau Dhirendra Kumar Ojha, Director General of Doordarshan Kanchan Prasad, Director General of Akashvani Pragya Paliwal, Director General of Doordarshan News Priya Kumari.
This team took stock of the preparations being made for wide publicity of the fair by various media units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Akashvani, Doordarshan, Press Information Bureau and Central Bureau of Communication in the organization of the Maha Kumbh Mela and gave necessary instructions.
The team visited the Kumbh Mela area today on the second day of the two-day visit and observed the arrangements being made by the media units of the Ministry for publicity in the Mela area.
Earlier yesterday, the officials of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting also held a meeting with Divisional Commissioner of Prayagraj Vijay Vishwas Pant and Mela Adhikari Vijay Kiran Anand in which the work being done by the Ministry for extensive publicity of the Kumbh Mela was discussed.
Extensive preparations are underway for Mahakumbh 2025, and this visit is being considered an important step for the success of the event. Officials of the Ministry ensured that the media and communication arrangements will be helpful in making the global reach of the event effective.
