Bolero and truck collide fiercely in Raipura, Chitrakoot, 5 Died,6 seriously injured
Crime Reporter, Chitrakoot: A tragic road accident took place on Jhansi-Mirzapur National Highway at around 5 am on Wednesday. Six people died in a fierce collision between a Bolero and a truck near Raipura, while five others were seriously injured. All the deceased and injured in the accident are residents of Gulganj village in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. According to the information, Gulganj resident Jamuna Ahirwar (42) was returning home from Prayagraj in a Bolero with his family. His wife Phula (40), son Raj (18), Akash (15) and other people of the village were present in the vehicle. Near Raipura, the Bolero collided with a high-speed truck coming from the front. The collision was so severe that the Bolero was badly damaged.
As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police reached the spot and started rescue operations. The injured were immediately admitted to the district hospital. The deaths of Jamuna Ahirwar, his wife Phoola, sons Raj and Akash have been confirmed. Other deceased are being identified. The condition of the injured is said to be critical.
The police said that the accident probably happened due to the high speed and negligence of the truck. The truck driver fled from the spot. The vehicle has been seized and further investigation is being done.
There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire village and the families of the deceased due to the news of the accident. Local people expressed deep sorrow over the accident and stressed on the need to follow traffic rules on the road. The treatment of the injured is going on till the time of writing the news.
